I was extremely happy with most of the folks I spoke with during my time at Key West. It took me 3 days of visiting the dealership to make sure I was making the right decision on the vehicle for my needs and my budget. All staff but one understood that this purchase wasn't an easy one to make within my budget. Peter Olsen, Michael Nokes and Robert Klaus really understood why I needed to take my time and research all my options. I appreciated their kindness and patience and didn't feel at all pressured into the sale.

F350 truck

I saw an ad for a F350 at the lot. The truck was not on the lot due to construction. It took a day to get the truck so I could see it. I made a deal and drove it away that afternoon. Happy with the vehicle. Sales person was new to Key West and lacked knowledge of all the options on the truck.

Honest and Trustworthy Dealership
4.45
There were a few hiccups that came along with our purchase of a pre-owned vehicle but I was impressed with how much effort was taken to remedy the situation and make sure we were feeling great about our purchase. The dealership really went above and beyond to get us in a vehicle that was safe and good quality! Jeff was very attentive both on-site and through follow-up calls, addressing concerns, and doing everything in his power to remedy the situation. I would highly recommend working with Jeff who was easy going, enthusiastic, and kept the process very simple. In the end, we are very happy with our new (to us!) vehicle and I'm glad we went through this journey with Key West Ford and Jeff.

I moved to Vancouver from Toronto and was in need of a truck. Pete was able to source one that I was looking for from Alberta and had it delivered quickly and was very communicative in terms of delivery status throughout. He was even kind enough to send me some recommendations for places to go around New West with me being new to the area. Thanks Pete!

We would like to buy your vehicle today, for cash! When we sell it, we will share the profit with you!

It's easy to sell your car with our Shares Program. We will buy your vehicle even if you don't buy from us. Avoid the hassle of selling your vehicle yourself, sell it to us!

This innovative program is brought to you by INFINITI of Tacoma, we want to Share the Profits with you, our customer!

#1) Sell us your car (your part is done).

#2) We recondition and market your car.

#3) Best of all: when we sell it we share the profit with you!

Below you’ll find the most common questions about our exclusive shares program:
  • What happens if they don't sell my old car? Will I owe them any money?

    The answer is no!

Once you sell your vehicle, you won't be liable for any additional costs or losses that the dealer may incur on that vehicle.

  • Is this a gimmick? Why would they do this?

No - it absolutely is not a gimmick!

It's not easy purchasing high-quality preowned vehicles. The costs are many - airfare, auction fees, shipping, and more. INFINITI of Tacoma would, therefore, much rather share the profits with our customers instead of funneling our dollars to out-of-state vendors.

  • Are they going to offer me less for my car?

    No, we are not!

However, we understand why you may be skeptical. Many of the customers that have taken advantage of our Shares Program first had their vehicles appraised at CarMax. That organization offers a free 7-day appraisal, whether drivers purchase from them or not.

We offer the same service as well. Our research shows that - in virtually every case - we've either been able to match or pay more for the vehicle.

The difference is that - when we sell the vehicle - we share the profit with our customers.

  • Are there any other dealerships that offer this service?

We're not aware of any other dealerships that offer this service.

  • Is this just like a vehicle consignment?

    No, it's not.

In a traditional auto consignment scenario: the customer still owns the vehicle, even though it's now on a lot for sale; and the customer does not receive payment until the car is sold. In the meantime, they're still liable for any related costs (insurance, financing fees, etc.).

With the INFINITI of Tacoma Shares Program, we pay you for the vehicle today. This means that you'll have no liability costs; and, once we make the sale, we'll share the profits with you. It's that simple.

  • Do you have an example of how it works?

    Of course!

Step One: We will use a figure of $20,000 for this example.

Step Two: We charge a standard $895.00 fee. This includes advertising, marketing, insurance, and other expenses.

Step Three: We then recondition the vehicle. This includes service items that need to be addressed before we can re-sell the vehicle. Here are just a few examples: brakes, non-functioning or broken parts, oil change, wiper blades, broken glass, etc. We also do a full auto detail and complete any exterior or interior cosmetic repairs. The average cost per car does vary depending on how old the car is and mileage on the vehicle. However, the average cost is approx. $950.00.

Step Four: This brings the total dealer cost to $21,845. If INFINITI of Tacoma successfully lists and sales the vehicle for $24,500, it would then result in a profit of $2,655.00.

Step Five: Our team would then provide the customer with a check for half of that profit (in this case: $1,327.50).

  • What tools or website sources does INFINITI of Tacoma use to determine “how much” they'll offer for my vehicle?

We use Kelley Blue Book. They are the most comprehensive and trusted company for used vehicle values.

  • How long does this process take?

Most of our customers spend approximately 30 minutes at our dealership to have their vehicle appraised. We're committed to offering fast and reliable service, and we strive to accommodate every driver's busy schedule.

  • Are there any vehicles you won't accept - whether due to model, make, or age?

    We will accept any vehicle.

The only criteria to quality for our Shares Program is that your car must have no major issues that would render it non-cost effective to repair or unsafe to sell.

  • Is an appointment necessary to receive an appraisal?

No appointment is needed to start the appraisal process. For those who wish to secure a specific time, however, we encourage you to use the automated form below.

  • How long is the appraisal price valid?

Our price is guaranteed for seven days.

  • Do I have to purchase a vehicle from INFINITI of Tacoma to be able to participate in the Shares Program?

No, you don't have a purchase a vehicle from us to participate.

  • I am ready to sell my vehicle to INFINITI of Tacoma. What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring the following items with you:

One: Your car’s title or pay-off information (bank information).

    - Everyone who is listed on the title must be present to sign over ownership.

    Two:    Current valid registration.

Three:  Valid state-issued photo ID for each person listed on the title.

    Four:    All keys and/or remotes.
